It was founded in 2008 by Christophe Bertrand, former director of Cacao et Chocolat (3 boutiques in Paris, the concept revolutionized the sale of self-service chocolates in 1998).
4 stars in the 2011 "Guide des croqueurs de chocolats" and 4th best francilien macaroon the same year. The A La Reine Astrid chocolates won the Economic Ethics Prize 2011 awarded by the Ile de France Regional Council thanks to their biodegradable packaging made in France and to their work in favor of Haitian chocolate (organic, fair trade and direct marketing).
