Alaüs Mathez is famous all over the world for its know-how and its delicious chocolate truffles. It all began in 1996 when Eric Fisher bought the company and relocated it to the Pays de la Loire region.
Driven by his passion and productivity, this chocolate maker had a new 2000m² factory built in 1998 in Châteauneuf en Sarthe. The very first pure butter Mathez truffle was created one year later and was an instant success. New chocolate varieties were created in the following years, including organic chocolate bars, organic truffles and the Cocoa Bûchette.
In 2006, 1500m² were added to the company's storage space, and in 2008, a store was opened on the production site. Today, Mathez is exported to 40 countries on every continent of the globe.
